StudioTool Service (studio-tool.com). Effective September 29, 2026.
StudioTool translates YouTube video titles, descriptions, and subtitles, as well as the title and description of the channel itself, and also helps users manage viewer comments and reply to them. To provide these features, the service needs access to your channel, video text content, subtitles, and comments.
StudioTool features can be configured separately. You choose which features to use, such as translating titles, descriptions, or subtitles, and working with comments. Features you disable are not used.
Below, we explain what data we store, why we store it, who we share it with, and how it can be deleted.
What Data We Collect
Email address and, when signing in with Google, the internal identifier of your Google Account
— To sign in to your account, restore access, and receive service-related emails.
Password — stored only as an irreversible hash; two-factor authentication secret — stored in encrypted form
— To protect access to your account. We do not store your actual password and cannot recover it.
Identifiers and names of connected YouTube channels and information about videos
— To display connected channels and videos and perform actions you select.
Video titles, descriptions, and subtitles
— To translate them and publish translations on YouTube.
Video comments
— To display and process comments and help you reply to them.
Prepared replies to comments
— To publish replies you select on YouTube at your request.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, session information, and technical logs
— To ensure security, diagnose errors, and maintain the normal operation of the service.
Google and YouTube Data
StudioTool uses Google API Services and YouTube API Services.
When you sign in with Google, the service receives only the data necessary to identify you: your email address and basic profile information.
When you connect a YouTube channel, StudioTool requests separate authorization to access YouTube data.
We use YouTube data only to perform the actions you request: retrieve information about the connected channel and its videos; read and translate video titles, descriptions and subtitles, as well as the title and description of the channel itself; publish those translations; replace a subtitle track with an updated one, which removes the track being replaced; retrieve comments, prepare replies, and publish the replies you select.
StudioTool never deletes comments written by viewers or by anyone else. The only thing it can delete is a reply that StudioTool itself published on your behalf, and only when you ask it to — for example if you are not happy with a reply the AI wrote.
Translations are published only when you start them. Replies to comments are published in one of two ways, and you choose which: either you review each reply and publish it yourself, or — if you switch on automatic mode for a channel — StudioTool publishes replies to new comments on that channel on your behalf, without showing you each one first. Automatic mode is off unless you turn it on, you can turn it off at any time, and any reply StudioTool published can be withdrawn, which deletes it from YouTube.
StudioTool does not receive or store the password for your Google or YouTube account.
How We Use Data
We use data only to provide StudioTool features: signing in and protecting your account, connecting a YouTube channel, translating titles, descriptions, and subtitles, publishing translations you select, retrieving and processing comments, preparing and publishing replies you select, providing technical support, and fixing errors.
We do not sell personal data or Google/YouTube data, share it with advertising networks, or use it for personalized advertising.
StudioTool's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who We Share Data With
We do not sell user data, and we do not share it for advertising, marketing, or the creation of advertising profiles. Data is shared only with the service providers named below, and only to the extent required to perform a function you selected.
Google LLC and YouTube
— Titles, descriptions, subtitles, and comment replies that you choose to publish are sent to YouTube through Google API Services, because that is where they are published. StudioTool also reads this data from YouTube on your behalf to show it to you and to prepare translations and replies.
AI providers: DeepSeek, OpenAI, and xAI (Grok)
— When you use translation, StudioTool sends the source language, the target language, and the text to be translated: a video title, a video description, subtitle lines, or the title and description of the channel itself. When you use AI comment replies, StudioTool sends the text of the comment together with the publicly visible display name of its author. StudioTool never sends your email address, your password, your two-factor authentication secret or your Google authorization data to these AI providers.
Email delivery provider (MyResend)
— Your email address and the contents of the message are sent to our email delivery provider so that service emails can reach you: registration and sign-in confirmations, password recovery, and account deletion links.
Hosting provider: Senko Digital LLC
— StudioTool runs on a virtual server operated by StudioTool at this provider. The provider supplies the infrastructure and does not process your data for its own purposes. Your data, including the Google authorization data described below, is stored on that server.
Only the information necessary to perform a specific request is sent to each provider. Your Google authorization data is used solely in requests to Google itself and is stored on our server at the hosting provider named above; it is never sent to the AI providers or to the email provider. If this list of providers changes, this page is updated.

Data Retention
We retain data only for as long as necessary to operate StudioTool and provide the features you select.
Data obtained through YouTube API Services is stored and refreshed in accordance with the YouTube API Services Developer Policies.
When an account is deleted, StudioTool deletes all data associated with the user: account data, connected YouTube channels, stored YouTube data, Google authorization data, and cached translations. The data is not retained, and the account or any data associated with it cannot be restored after deletion.
Technical logs of AI requests. To diagnose errors and check the quality of the models, StudioTool records its requests to the AI providers. These records contain the text that was sent — a title, a description, subtitle lines, or the text of a comment. They are kept for 30 days and are then deleted automatically.
Database backups. StudioTool keeps backup copies of its database so that data can be restored after a failure. Backups are kept for 14 days and are then deleted automatically.
Disconnecting a YouTube Channel and Revoking Access
You can disconnect a connected YouTube channel in StudioTool.
When a channel is disconnected, StudioTool immediately stops accessing that channel and deletes the stored authorization data for it. A single Google authorization can cover several channels of the same Google account. StudioTool revokes the authorization with Google as soon as the last channel covered by it is disconnected — revoking earlier would cut off your other channels without asking. You can also revoke the authorization yourself at any time, using the link below.

After access is revoked, StudioTool can no longer retrieve new data from the corresponding YouTube channel. Data stored by StudioTool in connection with that authorization is deleted.
Account and Data Deletion
You can delete your StudioTool account.
When you delete your account, StudioTool deletes all data associated with you, including account data, information about connected YouTube channels, stored YouTube API data, and authorization data.
After the account is deleted, the data is not retained. The account or any data associated with it cannot be restored after deletion.
Deleting your StudioTool account does not delete data that was previously published directly on YouTube, such as translated titles and descriptions or replies to comments. Such data remains on YouTube and, if necessary, can be deleted or modified directly through YouTube.
Cookies and Browser Data
StudioTool uses cookies and browser local storage for authentication, maintaining sessions, storing settings, and ensuring the normal operation of the website and extension.
This data is not used for advertising and is not sold to third parties.
Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or deletion.
Data transmitted between the user and StudioTool is transferred over a secure HTTPS connection.
Google authorization data is stored on the server side and is used only to provide features authorized by the user.

StudioTool's use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
